Writing for the Stage and Screen
Kirsten is a member of the Writer's Guild of Canada and is currently busy as head writer for her TV series, ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID.
Kirsten is also a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada, and has written and performed several one woman shows for the theatre: ALL MY DAY JOBS, PETUNIA IN PERIL, DESPERATE/RIDICULOUS, and THE KIRSTEN VAN RITZEN SHOW; and performed in MAD DOG MUSIC, A CLOSETFUL OF NAVY BLUES, and WANDERING IVORY, written by playwright/director and frequent collaborator Ian Ferguson. She has performed these at theatres and festivals across North America, including SINGLE FILE FESTIVAL (Chicago), SUMMERWORKS(Toronto), ORLANDO INT'L FRINGE(Florida), and the HUDSON GUILD (Hollywood), where she was named Best Solo Comedy Artist.Future writing projects include two full-length plays, publishing a completed full-length comedic novel entitled "The Comedy Diva Diaries", and penning more wedding hijinks.

Kirsten is the president of BROAD THEATRICS INC. She has created numerous live events - fundraisers, corporate entertainment, improv and comedy shows, and of course, theatre.
